IT Support Desk Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Technician position is a key contributor in the success of managing our client’s IT environment. Your primary responsibility is to diagnose, resolve and document support tickets. As a member of our support team, a Tier 1 Support Technician is part of a robust team, who work together to apply the right expertise to every request while exceeding customer expectations on delivering a superior service experience. We stive to provide first contact resolution in Tier1 so our customers can get back to what’s important to them and their customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • 2+ years as IT Support Specialist, direct end-user support is required
  • Keen ability to troubleshoot IT issues and dedication follow an issue all the way to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with team members and customers
  • A willingness and commitment to learn new things and grow new skill sets
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for solving support tickets
  • Ability to fulfill night and weekend shifts as part of our on-call rotation
  • Ability to resolve 10-20 daily tickets on average

Required Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge and competency of all Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems and Applications
  • Intermediate knowledge in managing Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Networks
  • General knowledge managing firewalls, layer 2/3 switches, access points and other networking devices
  • Administration of Microsoft Office 365 email, applications, and Azure AD
  • Knowledge or Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Experience working with computer peripherals, such as printers and scanners
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience with VPN technologies; configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of DHCP and DNS configuration and management

Nice Skills to Haves:

  • Previous MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience
  • Experience working with PSA and RMM tools, such as ConnectWise, Autotask, Kaseya
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure AD, SharePoint, MDM, MFA
  • Virtual Environment Management (VMWare, Hyper-V, Hyper-Converged)
  • Certifications: A+, Net+, Sec+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365
  • Continued education: Associate or Bachelor degree in MIS or Computer Science

Your primary responsibility is to provide escalation support for Tier1 to diagnose, resolve and document escalated support tickets. As a member of our team, a Tier 2 Systems Administrator is part of a robust team, who work together to apply the right expertise to every request while exceeding customer expectations on delivering a superior service experience. In addition, this position is responsible for any onsite work needed such as dispatched support, installations, and project work. Key proactive tasks and system monitoring are also key responsibilities in which make direct positive impact on our customers. We strive to be as proactive as possible to reduce reactive issues, so customers focus on what is important to them and their business.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • 5+ years as IT Support Specialist or Systems Administrator - direct end-user support is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Systems Engineer position is a key contributor in the success of managing our client’s IT environment. As a member of our team, a Tier 3 Systems Engineer is part of a robust team, who work together to apply the right expertise to every request while exceeding customer expectations on delivering a superior service experience. Your primary responsibilities are to provide expert solutions including full network/system architecture, project management and implementation, Virtual CIO (VCIO) for IT budgeting and business growth, and final escalation support for Tier1/2 to diagnose, resolve and document escalated support tickets. In addition, this position is responsible for onsite work needed such as dispatched escalated support, installation and implementation of new/replacement equipment, and project work. Identification and development of new or improving existing solutions and processes as well as performing key proactive tasks which make direct positive impact on our customers. We strive to be as proactive as possible to reduce reactive issues, so customers focus on what is important to them and their business.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • 8+ years as IT Systems Administrator or Engineer (L2 or higher)
  • Keen ability to troubleshoot IT issues and dedication follow an issue all the way to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with team members and customers
  • A willingness and commitment to learn new things and grow new skill sets
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
  • Project management skills from initiation, setting milestones/tasks, timeline accountability, through completion.
  • Ability to work with very little supervision – have to be able to manage yourself and projects effectively.
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for escalation tickets and assigned projects
  • Ability to fulfill night and weekend shifts as part of our on-call rotation and scheduled afterhours work.
  • Ability to work with Level1/2 on escalated tickets and provide training/feedback for improvement.
  • Ability to managed L2 resources for new client onboarding projects and larger projects.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge and competency of all Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems and Applications
  • Expert knowledge in managing Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Networks
